Open your own Nuad Thai sanctuary

Since 2017 we have built a Thai wellness house in the heart of Athens with a loyal, international clientele. We now grant franchises to entrepreneurs who want to open a Nuad Thai Massage Athens spa under the same name, the same rituals and the same standards — with the full legal framework set out below.

A franchised spa is not a copy — it is the same house in another city, held to the same protocols, training and hospitality our guests already know.

The investment

Fees per spa created

Initial franchise fee

€150,000

One-off, payable per spa on signature of the franchise agreement. It covers the licence to operate under the Nuad Thai Massage Athens name, the full treatment menu and ritual protocols, therapist training, opening support and the brand's operating manual.

Annual continuing fee

€18,000 / year

Payable for every subsequent year of the agreement, in 12 equal monthly instalments of €1,500 by standing bank order. It covers continued use of the brand, ongoing training, menu and protocol updates, marketing materials and central support.

Both fees apply per spa: every new Nuad Thai Massage Athens location created by the franchisee carries its own €150,000 initial fee and its own €18,000 annual fee. Fees are exclusive of VAT and of the franchisee's own set-up costs — lease, fit-out, equipment, licences, staff and working capital.

Legal procedure

From first meeting to opening day

1. Confidentiality agreement (NDA)

Before any operational, financial or ritual know-how is disclosed, both sides sign a mutual NDA under Greek law. It stays in force whether or not the franchise proceeds.

2. Application & due diligence

You submit the franchise application: identity documents, proof of funds and financing plan, business CV, proposed city and territory, and the shortlisted premises. We run reputational and financial due diligence, and you receive our audited concept and performance data.

3. Pre-contractual disclosure

You receive the full disclosure pack — franchise agreement draft, fee schedule, operating manual summary, trademark registration certificates, territory map and investment breakdown — at least 20 days before signing, so you can review it with your own lawyer and accountant.

4. Company formation & registrations

You incorporate the operating company (typically an IKE or AE), register it with GEMI and the Chamber of Commerce, obtain the tax number (AFM) and activity codes (KAD) for spa and massage services, register with EFKA for staff, and open the business bank account used for the instalments.

5. Franchise agreement

The agreement is signed for a fixed initial term with renewal options, and sets out: the €150,000 initial fee, the €18,000 annual fee in 12 monthly instalments, exclusive territory, minimum standards, treatment menu and pricing framework, reporting and audit rights, insurance obligations, transfer and change-of-control rules, termination and post-term non-compete, and governing law with dispute resolution in Athens (arbitration or the Athens courts).

6. Trademark licence & IP

The Nuad Thai Massage Athens marks are licensed to you for the term and the territory only, recorded where required with the Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation (OBI) and EUIPO. Domains, social accounts, signage and printed material remain brand property and revert on termination.

7. Premises, licences & compliance

Before opening you must hold the lease (or title) for approved premises, the municipal operating licence for a massage/wellness establishment, health authority approval for the treatment rooms, fire safety certification, accessibility compliance, and certified therapists with recognised massage qualifications and health certificates.

8. Insurance, data & tax

You maintain professional indemnity and public liability insurance with the franchisor named as additional insured, sign the GDPR data-processing agreement covering guest and booking data, and comply with Greek VAT, myDATA e-invoicing and employment law for all staff.

9. Training, fit-out & opening

Therapists and managers complete the Nuad Thai training programme, the fit-out is approved against brand design standards, and a pre-opening inspection signs off the spa. Only then is the opening date confirmed and the annual fee schedule activated for the following year.

Ongoing obligations

What the agreement requires

These conditions run for the whole term and protect every spa in the network — including yours.

Operate only within the granted exclusive territory, from premises approved in writing.
Deliver the full approved treatment menu, rituals and hygiene protocols without alteration.
Employ only certified therapists trained and signed off by the franchisor.
Submit monthly turnover reports and allow annual quality and financial audits.
Keep the €18,000 annual fee current — 12 monthly instalments of €1,500 by standing order.
Use only brand-approved names, signage, uniforms, marketing and digital channels.
Never sub-franchise, assign or transfer the business without written consent.
Respect the post-term non-compete and return all manuals and brand materials on termination.
