In the middle of Athens — two minutes from Syntagma Square, five from Monastiraki — there is a small cedar cabin where the city stops. Inside, infrared warmth reaches deep into muscle and skin without the crushing air of a traditional steam room. You lie still in a robe, the heat does the work, and thirty minutes later you walk out lighter than you came in.
Guests use our infrared sauna before a massage to loosen tight shoulders, after long flights to sweat out the travel day, and as the first step of a detox: heat opens the way, then light lymphatic drainage massage or a purifying facial finishes the cleanse. Every session includes a bathrobe, disposable slippers, showers and free toiletries — arrive with nothing but yourself.
Guests combine the cabin with a Thai, deep tissue or lymphatic massage in the same visit. Open daily 10:00 to 22:00 at 5 Kornarou Street — book your cabin time online and simply show up.
Where is the sauna in Athens?+
Our private infrared cedar cabin is at the Main Spa, 5 Kornarou Street, Athens 105 63 — two to five minutes from Syntagma Square and Monastiraki. Every sauna session includes a bathrobe, disposable slippers, showers and free toiletries.
How much does a sauna session cost?+
A 30-minute infrared sauna session is €30 on its own, or €20 when added to any massage. Sauna sessions can also be combined with a body scrub, and the 5 + 1 package gives six sessions for the price of five.
What is an infrared sauna good for?+
Infrared heat warms the body directly rather than the air around you. Thirty quiet minutes loosens tight muscles, supports circulation, opens the skin and prepares the body for a deeper massage or detox treatment.
Can I combine the sauna with a detox treatment?+
Yes — that is our Sauna Detox Programme. Heat opens the way, then light lymphatic drainage massage, a purifying detox facial or a cleansing body treatment finishes the cleanse. See our sauna detox page for the full treatment list.
Do I need to book the sauna in advance?+
We recommend booking online to secure your cabin time. Choose your sauna treatment, duration and a live open time slot on our sauna booking page — open daily 10:00 to 22:00.
